Yurie Nagashima was born in 1973. She lives in Tokyo.

In 1999, she completed her MFA in Photography at the California Institute of the Arts.
In 2001, she received the 26th Kimura Ihei Photography Award for her photobook PASTIME PARADISE.
In 2010, her short story collection Senaka no Kioku (Kodansha) won the 26th Kodansha Essay Award.
In 2022, she received the Japan Photographic Society Award for Scholarly Achievement for “Bokura” no “Onnanoko Shashin” kara Watashitachi no Gārī Foto e (Daifuku Shorin). 
Her publications include Self-Portraits (Dashwood Books), Konna Otona ni Narimashita (Shueisha), and Kyonen no Kyō (Kodansha), among others.

Go Watanabe was born in 1975 in Hyogo. He lives in Tokyo.

While studying at the Graduate School of Aichi Prefectural University of the Arts, Go Watanabe began to experiment with modes of artistic expression made possible by the techniques of 3DCG. In 2002, Watanabe presented face, for which he created a facial structure with 3DCG and covered it with images of human skin. He went on to develop a face (“portrait”) series by superimposing various images of human skin on the same 3D model and creating portraits of anonymous subjects. While using the same technique, beginning around 2009, Watanabe shifted his choice of motifs in his works to familiar things around him such as books, tableware, and rooms, and now mainly creates animation videos that move independently from the properties of physics and optics, or installation pieces that are combined with these videos. In his recent works especially, he focuses on the movement of light and makes us realize that light is the way of perceiving landscape as well as being perception itself. The subtle energy inherent in his work allows us once again to pause and recognize what our eyes perceive.

Osamu Kanemura was born in 1964 in Tokyo, where he currently lives.

In 1992, while still enrolled at the Tokyo College of Photography, he was invited to participate in the Rotterdam Photo Biennale in the Netherlands.
In 1996, he was selected by MoMA as one of the “Six Photographers to Watch in the World.”
He appeared on Top Runner (NHK) in 2000 and on Jōnetsu Tairiku (Mainichi Broadcasting System) in 2001.
His awards include the Newcomer’s Award of the Japan Professional Photographers Society and the 13th Higashikawa International Photo Festival New Photographer Award (both in 1997), the 19th Domon Ken Award (2000), and the 39th Ina Nobuo Award (2014).

His photobooks include Spider’s Strategy (Osiris, 2001) and Concrete Octopus (Osiris, 2017).
His writings include Zenshin Kairaku Shashinka (Doyukan, 2009) and Chōhatsu suru Shashinshi (Heibonsha, 2017, co-authored with Takazawa Kenji).

Hiroko Komatsu was born in 1969. She lives in Tokyo.

Since her first solo exhibition in 2009, she has held numerous solo and group exhibitions in Japan and abroad.
In 2015, she participated in The 6th Fotofestival in Germany. In 2017, she received the 43rd Kimura Ihei Photography Award.
In 2019, she took part in DECODE / Incidents and Records – Art in the Post-Industrial Society at the Museum of Modern Art, Saitama.
In 2021, she held a solo exhibition at dieFirma in New York, as well as solo exhibitions at the Davis Museum (Wellesley College) and the Joseloff Gallery (University of Hartford).
In 2024, she participated in the Rencontres d’Arles international photography festival.

Mitsudori Mitamura was born in 1964 in Aichi Prefecture. She lives in Tokyo.

Drawing on autobiographical recollections derived from fieldwork, she creates spatial installations that combine photography, video, text, everyday objects, and other diverse media, presenting her work both in Japan and internationally.
Her activities include: the Japanese Government Overseas Study Program for Artists (2005); a three-city solo exhibition tour in Finland (2005); a solo exhibition at the Secession in Vienna (2006); Aichi Triennale (2016); invited artist-in-residence at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna (2017); Yebisu International Festival for Art & Alternative Visions (2022); and Setouchi Triennale (2022), among many others.

Yuichi Higashionna was born in Tokyo, where he currently lives. 

He has not only created objects made with fluorescent lights and spray-painted paintings, but has also produced numerous large-scale installations that use these works to shape entire spaces. These spatial projects have been developed not just in galleries and museums, but also in various retail environments, including spaces for brands such as Comme des Garçons and Cassina.

He has held numerous solo exhibitions in Japan and abroad, including CAVE-AYUMI Gallery, Tokyo (2025); The Third Gallery AYA, Osaka (2023); “OAA#2” at KOCA, Tokyo (2020); VOID+, Tokyo (2020 and 2019); Marianne Boesky Gallery, New York (2015 and 2011); Venice Projects, Venice (2010); Gallery αM, Tokyo (2009); Marianne Boesky Gallery, New York (2008); and the Setagaya Art Museum Corridor, Tokyo (2003).

Asami Shōji was born in 1988 in Fukushima, and grew up in Osaka, Aomori, and Tokyo. She currently lives in Tokyo. 

Using images that arise from the body as a point of departure, she describes the world through the language of painting, working on supports such as canvas and window glass. Her major solo exhibitions include Nutrition, For the Ghosts (LC Queisser, Tbilisi, 2025) and Flower Moments (LINSEED, Shanghai, 2025).
Her group exhibitions include Roppongi Crossing 2025: Time Passes, We Are Eternal (Mori Art Museum, Tokyo, 2025) and MOT Annual 2024: Islands of Happiness (Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo, 2024). She is also the author of From Tbilisi with Love (oar press, 2025).
