Nora Schultz

Nora Schultz was born in 1975 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. She lives in Vienna.

Through her installations and sculptures—often accompanied by videos, photographs, and performances—Nora Schultz examines the ways in which matter and language intertwine in our relationship to the environment. She draws on industrial materials, architectural structures, and references to urban design, which she transforms and reconfigures in response to specific exhibition contexts. Driven by notions of displacement and process, her works generate unstable configurations that unsettle habitual modes of perception and identification, engaging the viewer in a renewed sensory and mental experience of space and materiality.

Her work is represented by dependance (Brussels), Galerie Isabella Bortolozzi (Berlin), Emanuela Campoli (Milan, Paris), Meyer*Kainer (Vienna), and Reena Spaulings (New York).
