Yuki Kimura was born in 1971. She lives in Kyoto.
Since the 1990s, Yuki Kimura has developed a practice primarily grounded in photography, sculpture, and installation. Often working with found materials and images, her works explore the perceptual and mnemonic connections that bind us to everyday objects and spaces. Her work has been the subject of solo exhibitions such as Midway Contemporary Art, Minneapolis (2025); The Kunstverein für die Rheinlande und Westfalen-Düsseldorf, Düsseldorf (2022); CCA Wattis Institute, San Francisco (2016); Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis, St. Louis (2011); IZU PHOTO MUSEUM, Shizuoka (2010); Daiwa Press Viewing Room, Hiroshima (2009).
Her work is represented by Taka Ishii Gallery (Tokyo) and Galerie Chantal Crousel (Paris).
